Mark Cantor tried his sixth case in six weeks before the Division of Workers’ Compensation. His last case was tried on Tuesday in Hannibal, Missouri for a man injured in the course and scope of his employment with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
A hardship hearing is held in an emergency setting to secure benefits for an injured Claimant. In this case, Mark is seeking to have his client’s weekly paycheck paid as well as additional medical care. In order to win the case, many depositions were taken by Mark Cantor, including the sworn statement of the Claimant’s spine surgeon who performed one surgery and believes another is required. The state of Missouri defended the case through the Attorney General’s office but failed to present any medical testimony.
It is the hope of Cantor and Associate that all of our clients will be treated fairly by the Employer / Insurer, but that nearly never happens. When it does not, an injured Claimant must have an attorney willing to take the case to trial even if it is not for a final award.
If you have a Missouri workers’ compensation claim and need aggressive representation, please call the law firm of Cantor Injury Law, LLC and ask to speak with Mark. Our phone number is (314) 485-4005.
